— Prologue —
The stories behind the songs we all know. We hum them, we admire them, sometimes from afar. Barbara, Brel, Aznavour — their voices are part of our inner landscape.
Then one day, you discover the story behind the song. Who it was addressed to. Under what circumstances it was written. And everything changes. The song we all know suddenly becomes closer, more fragile, more human.
This experience transformed me as a performer. Not by understanding these songs intellectually, but by feeling them differently — by discovering the man or woman behind the artist.
What I want to share with you is not a history lesson. It's that emotion: the moment when a great song stops being a monument and becomes a confidence.
